Eleanor Porter studied English and lectured at Universities in England and Hong Kong before she returned to the Midlands where, when she is not looking after three children and a garden that teeters on the edge of wilderness, she now teaches and writes. Her poetry and short fiction have appeared in magazines, but The Wheelrights Daughter is her first novel and will be published by Boldwood in 2020.
