The authors will be published in every format simultaneously in all English language territories and have been contracted on multi-book deals. The Boldwood list will be 20 titles strong from August to December 2019 rising to 50 titles for the full calendar year of 2020.
In order to realise Boldwood’s commitment to multi-format publishing they are delighted to announce an audio partnership with Ulverscroft who will manufacture their audio product which will be published under the Boldwood imprint. Ulverscroft will be the exclusive supplier of Boldwood audio content to the global library sector whilst the Boldwood team will handle the global retail audio market. As a result of this initiative Boldwood is able to offer both digital and physical audio product across all titles on their list on the same global publication date as the other formats.
Amanda Ridout, Founder and CEO, comments: ‘I am thrilled to be able to make good on my promise when we launched the company that we would publish the very best in commercial fiction and reach readers all over the world in the format of their choosing. In our launch list we are able to offer a wonderful mix of established bestselling writers; debut authors and previously self-published writers and I thank the agent and author community for being so supportive and welcoming to our new venture. We have also had a great reception from retailers, distributors and other industry friends for which we are very grateful. With our exciting audio partnership we are doing something genuinely new – recognising that the audio format is a natural part of the publishing offering – available in both physical and digital – across our entire list simultaneously with other formats and not as an afterthought.’
